About the book:
John Cudahy, son of meat magnate Patrick Cudahy and future U.S. diplomat , shares his firsthand account as a lieutenant in the 339th regiment in North Russia. Thirteen thousand American troops were dispatched into North Russia and Siberia in the waning days of WWI, with many of the soldiers hailing from Michigan and Wisconsin. This was America's only major military intervention in Russia from 1918-1920.
